Review on LiftMaster MYQ 819LMB Home Bridge by Kaushik Hall

Oh so hard to set up and buggy - Had to go back

I bought it with Smart Garage Hub so I could add my two doors to Homekit. I have a very long experience with a home automation product that controls 60-80 lights, switches, thermostats, sensors and speakers in both Homekit and Indigo. Setting up the basic Smart Garage Hub required for this thing to work was pretty good. I managed to get both doors working at the same time, but deleted the hub, rebooted and everything worked pretty well. Now onto the HomeKit hub - OMG. Repeatedly adding to the app deleted my first hub, when I finally got them both to register on the app and then tried to move the doors from the smart hub to the home hub, it moved the first door and then crashed on the second ab , which means I had to delete all nodes, reboot and try again and again. After almost 4 hours of deleting nodes, reconfiguring and trying again, I started researching the Chamberlain and Liftmaster forums but found that many people were having the same issue and Chamberlain Liftmaster told me that the process in the manual is wrong. Luckily these people posted the correct procedure because even the online documentation was wrong. It finally worked for me - well, sort of - several times I couldn't control the door from the Home app and also got a sensor warning, even though the sensor was installed very well. A week later, for no apparent reason, one of my doors disappeared from the app. . Attempting to add again failed with a message - You have reached the maximum number of doors (although clearly there was only one in the application). To add the door back, guess what - remove everything back from the hubs and start over. After a few more tries, I decided to give up, ditching the basic smart hub and returning the $99 home hub
