I usually buy original parts from Toyota dealers or on the Internet. Since I've done my homework and found that Powerstop is a good brand and has the same performance as my 1999 4runner SR5, I'll give it a try. I'm replacing the rotor and brake from the same kit so hopefully they work well together. So far, so good. For parts recycling, my city of Huntington Beach, California accepts the parts. I'll be back with an update, maybe in a year. until now. It works better than my other car, Toyota Sienna 2000, with original brake pads. "Better" means I feel like the car stops a shorter distance under braking at around 40mph. However, it vibrates slightly under hard braking at 60-70mph. Again, it's hard to tell if it's a warped disc or wheel alignment. I plan to buy a pointer indicator in the future (for various car plants). I will measure and update later.
