Buzzing sound when connected to USB-C power adapter

My use case for this is a USB-C dock for my Dell Latitude 5490. So far I've tested the following: - 4K HDMI works with extending the desktop -Displays of my laptop (I have not tried video streaming or movie playback). However, I've encountered an occasional disconnect that I have to disconnect and reconnect to restore the HDMI video. - Ethernet LAN is working. - USB A (connects to a monitor hub) - USB A works - USB C power works (delivers enough power so the laptop doesn't whine) Problem: - Buzzing when connecting the USB-C power adapter. I have to be careful and not leave it unattended when plugged in. I'm afraid it could start a fire.
