Review on DEWALT DW7350 Planer Integrated Mobile by Kris Martin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great price, durable and easy to assemble! Ideal for any "lunchbox " style slicer.

I could (almost) assemble it blindfolded - not quite natural, but the assembly problems I had before, such as B. offset holes etc. are gone. The only point of criticism would be a better illustrated construction sketch like Lego or Ikea. This is great for showing the nylon nuts on the wheels and the blown out adjuster feet - most don't know how to put a nut on the top and one on the bottom of the tube and a lock washer under the top. I didn't read it - I just looked at the picture, starting from the bottom and working my way up like a montage. Assemble the base, insert the legs, skirts, wheels, legs, caster, tighten everything, add the stretcher, shelf and top. FYI, the end skirts live under the side skirts. All gear is sorted into bags with indication of where to go - very nice! Well packaged - large piece of styrofoam holds everything - beaten by Fedex but still in great condition. I built mine on a table, loosely until all the brackets and clamps were in place, then leveled the base and tightened all the nuts. Then install on the floor and install the shelf and countertop, then the planer. I highlighted the caster wheel, especially with the shelf in the way. Make sure you flip up the pedal when parked to slide or you could hurt your ankle! I've tried built in swivels with the Delta mobile base in the past but it doesn't rise enough and is difficult to use. Tools: 13mm socket, 13mm open end wrench and Phillips #3 screwdriver. Or cheat with a 13mm impact driver. Do not overtighten the movable base screws or top screws and bolts. BTW there are holes in the pedal if you have two swivels on the big bases and you can put a rod through them so you can control both pulleys. I saw someone comment. about that earlier. Great value as a metal stand like this can sell for $150 and a mobile base for another $60-70. All parts are well aligned - there are sharp edges on the back of the metal parts so be careful. Nice shelf (not shown in this listing) - not sure what I'm going to put in there that won't shake off when planed but nice and solid. and a fair bit of finished chipboard for the planer. The metal appears to be powder coated. Now my 90 lb monster plane (DW735) is on wheels! It is strong when the castor is removed. Good job DW!
