These little guys do what I want them to do. I have a beach house that is rented out weekly and I have a closet to keep my belongings in when I use the house. The hinge pins are on the outside of the door so an unscrupulous renter could remove the pins and my belongings. I don't know who as I don't see the house all season. I read reviews before ordering and was prepared for problems with flattened screwdriver slots and difficulty inserting. The problem seems to be in the thread for the steel door. They are larger in diameter than wood screw carvings. So #1 drill the wood carving, then drill a slightly large piece only 1/4" to allow for the thread of the #2 screw, drill a much larger hole on the opposite side for the tab to go in A swing door requires little space for the plug to align with the opposite entry opening Installation went smoothly with these additional adjustments.
