Didn't work as expected
For me the cap that came on the drain plug also unscrewed the drain plug making it all one big drain plug. I couldn't tighten the drain plug enough that it wouldn't leak and stay in place when I unscrewed the cap. The product will work as intended, but in practice it will be the same that it wanted to replace.
