Review on FRAM FT1223A Transmission Filter Kit by Jason Sisawang

Firstly it fits my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and doesn't leak. . The cork pad came folded quite a bit in the kit along with some pretty sharp turns. I really didn't want to fit in my pan. I put the spacer between two pieces of wood and pressed it down with a 5 gallon paint bucket for 3 days until it straightened out. I then installed a gasket with silicone to keep it on the pan. There might be a bug with this one, but I've always done it with other cork pads. As I started tightening the transmission bolts, the gasket started buckling in the corners. Some parts are larger than others. even at 2/3 the specification the manual calls for. I usually just hand tighten the bolts and then use the factory pattern - inside to outside corners with a torque ratio of 1/3, then 2/3, then 10 minutes later at full torque.
