I bought these based on reviews with skepticism. That being said, right out of the package, for a amateur wood worker or carver, they may be good enough. Of course you can’t compare the feel and finish of these to chisels for under $20 /set for chisels that cost $60 each. Out of the box I will have to hone and strop a proper edge on them, but, I do that on and chisel or carving gouge I get new.I also hone or strop all my chisels before each use.I wanted a set of chisels I could keep on my carving bench and grab and use without worrying about the price.These look like they will work. Time will tell how they hold up.If you are into tools as works of pretty art, look elsewhere.
