I got a couple of spring loaded hinges and they are thicker than regular ones. Of course I had to get the right tools to install them properly. Not having any chisels, I figured I would go with the set of 4 for the price rather than a single. The chisels worked great on cleaning out the wood to accept the new hinges. Now, of course, I have to get the tools to keep them sharp. Can never have enough good tools.

I bought these based on reviews with skepticism. That being said, right out of the package, for a amateur wood worker or carver, they may be good enough. Of course you can’t compare the feel and finish of these to chisels for under $20 /set for chisels that cost $60 each. My experience with these chisels has been somewhat of a mixed bag. Received the 4 pcs. Grebstk Professional Wood Chisel set today. I think the term "professional" is a stretch, and I'm sure a professional could use them, but would probably choose another chisel if given the option. The handles look like red oak but feel uncharacteristically light in my hand. The bottom of this tool is wood I tlthought the bottom would be metal for hammering, the wood will likely split within a few good uses.

These chisels are great for the price. I am surprised that the factory finished edge is not very sharp. If you are planing to buy this set, must sharpen them before using them.

If there's one thing I would like us a sharper edge. Some of us wood workers don't have sharpening skills. That's my feedback.

Bought my set a few months ago, and finally got around to honing them.I free-sharpened to 400 grit, then stropped to "scary sharp". Slicing wood was no problem, and left shiny, smooth cuts, and wood curls.Some things I noticed:- The edge bevel is rough ground to about 30 deg, rather than the normal 25 that all my other chisels are set to. Chisels are basically useless out of the box won't cut anything without creating more problems than they solve. Setting a proper 25 degree bevel takes hours on a 220 dmt due to the factory set bevel being closer to 35. Probably a much better deal if you have a bench grinder to true them up with but definitely not for a beginner.

I haven't used them that much. The the negative I noticed is the ring is loose. But I could always epoxy them if I need. For the price, and a practice set,. It's a no brainer. I'm all about bang for the buck. This set delivers. I always get things on sale. I can always sharpen or tweak them as needed. This is a great first or extra set for anyone. The carry case/ bag is a great bonus !

I have only started to use them but so far so good. They feel and look as expected, they are easy to use, sharp and seem to do the job well. Good buy at a good price.

Great chisels. They are delivered sharp, but will need to be finished off to get that easy "wood shaving sharp”. I have zero complaints. Sooner or later you will have to learn to sharpen your hand tools properly, if you have aspirations of doing wood working. Same goes with the hand planes. So buy these chisels and a set of sharpening stones, you need the stones anyway.

Chisels have burrs on surface. Good quality would be smooth. These are not good quality. I shouldn’t need to sand the burrs off.

For the price, these are good. But, expect roughly finished metal, with sharp corners and chipped blades. Wood that's covered in lacker, making a slippery grip, and the metal bands on the handles are all loose. Do not expect to use out of the box. I recommend refinishing the handles, and cleaning up the blades.At least these came sharp out of the box, but the chips in the blade will leave ridges in my woodwork, so I will have to reform and resharpen the blades before doing more delicate work.If

This is a really nice set of wood chisels. The metal is quality material, the chisels are sharp, and the handles are solid and feel great. I appreciate the soft case that came with this set to keep the chisels from getting tossed around or banged up by other tools in my toolbox. Very satisfied with these chisels.
