Tiny. hard to turn on/off switch

I had no idea how small it was, nor did it occur to me that it was really meant to be permanently mounted on a panel and always on to be (but at least battery operated). exploited!). I bought it to measure the temperature when brewing beer when making yeast starter. If the switches (at least for turning on and off) were a button on the front and could be operated with your fingers, I'd keep this one (and I'd love the fact that it's very small. But the switches are on the back AND require the use of a probe.(Note: I never tested it for function as I decided it was mechanically too bulky.) I sent it back. This could have been avoided if a photo of the back was included in the product description and a note in which would have been text about the fact that the on and off buttons are on the back and require a probe to activate them, as well as the dimensions.

Pros
  • Industrial and Scientific
Cons
  • Very expensive
