I installed Solenoid 586-902 on my 2002 F250. The base had to be drilled to fit between the block's lugs as it did not fit flush with the block. This is significantly more than a standard relay. Face the wire connector side backward to avoid close contact with the fuel tank. This is a direct install from fwd. And now the good news. So far everything works great. My old one never worked properly. For the money the magnet seems good.
