This is not a typical 3 inch grinding wheel. I am very satisfied and will order more. Buy the best tools because time is money. I wanted something more than the standard 3" spoked wheels for faster stock removal. Make sure you have a good quality grinder if you buy them as they will eat the smaller grinder for lunch. I've used them on a 4-1/2" grinder but will be trying them on a 7-1/2" soon. they hold up well. Yes, some wires sometimes fly off, but they all fly off, so wear personal protective equipment.
