Good wood filament suitable for 3D printing consumables

This thread works great. This is the only wood thread I've used so far, so I don't have a comparison. It's actually no more brittle than standard PLA on a roll. However, it is definitely much weaker than regular PLA. Personally, I didn't care because I use ABS or nylon for functional parts anyway. For most prints I used a nozzle temperature of 210°C and a bed temperature of 60°C, but it prints well between 190 and 250°C. You can get a grainy effect by changing the temperature and most importantly the print speed. By slowing down the print speed, the filament will cook longer in the nozzle and produce a darker color. One of my photos has an example of the grainy effect.

Pros
  • Compatible with most 3D printers like Monoprice Maker Select, Lulzbot, Flash Forge and many more.
Cons
  • not reliable
