Review on KREG KMA3200 Shelf Pin Drilling by Josh Goldsmith

All five stars for how quick and easy this thing is to use. I was able to punch almost 100 holes in about 15 minutes with perfect accuracy. I appreciate the metal rings Kreg uses as opposed to competing products. The pin is stuck and will not allow movement when the device is placed behind the second and third sets of holes in the same row. However, two omissions bother me: 1. The metal ring does not reach to the surface of the wood, which led to the unfortunate detachment of the drill when penetrating the tree. I've played at various input speeds (slow, full speed, etc.) without much success. The gap was minimal enough not to violate the terms of the deal.2. There are small gray ledges on the bottom for storing pens and bits. If you clamp the jig too tight, you will leave dents in the workpiece. I was able to clamp a little less tight and avoid dents with no ill effects. It would be nice if the bottom of the mount was designed to protect the work.
