Review on 110V Ceramic Heat Emitter - 60W Reptile Heat Lamp Bulb for Chicken Coop, Lizard Aquarium, Snake, Dogs Brooder - No Harm, No Light Infrared Heater Lamp (White) by Danielle Rodriguez

Perfect for BP in a 20 gallon long tank!

Ideal for a 20 gallon tank. Provides ambient air temperature to create a temperature gradient for my ball python. It has a 90 degree hotspot of heating, and with this emitter the cold side stays at around 80 degrees (about 86 degrees just below the lamp in the center of the case). The first night I installed the lamp it was much more active (it used to only appear for a few hours in the early morning but is active all night). I love it so far! The only downside is that it will instantly neutralize any moisture in the tank by at least 20%, so be prepared to counteract that. EDIT: With Zoo Med's Forest Floor substrate I was able to easily achieve the desired humidity level. Water supply directly to the substrate. Be careful not to add too much, all you are trying to do is re-wet the mulch.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled
