Just does the job. It was a little high for a Ranger bed, so I doubled the side strap by about an inch and secured it with large clips. The width is ideal for a ranger. Didn't use carabiners (it would have been too long for a close fight) but it's good to have four more of these for other uses and they are good. I just looped it by the slightly undone eyebolts so I could take it off whenever I wanted. I placed it about 16 inches in front of the tailgate so I can use the envelope or the space behind to secure more stuff and it's all very easy to reach.
