Perfect replacement for my 2008 LR Range Rover SC.1. Support the tailgate2 securely. Remove the old shock/strut by prying off the clips at each end with a small flat head screwdriver.3. Before installing a new shock you may need to rotate the head of the new shock as the mounting positions on your vehicle may be reversed. You can use pliers or an adjustable wrench to hold one end while twisting the other. My mounting positions on my machine were in opposite directions and they come out of the box in the same direction.4. First install the new shock absorber on the big side of the bracket at the end of the car.5. The new shock/strut is too stiff to stretch or compress by hand. To install the other end you will need to maneuver the tailgate position up or down to align with the attachment point. 6. Once aligned, insert the smaller end onto the sunroof's mounting side.7. Repeat for the other side. This item comes with 2 shock absorbers, looks the same and fits both sides. Once installed the sunroof will go up quicker than your old ones so you may want to open it by hand first for the first few weeks/months depending on how often you use your sunroof.
