I bought this for my mom and she is so happy she finally has a can opener that doesn't have a huge list of instructions (or buttons) and is lightweight and easy to use. . It's even easier for her to use than a traditional can opener due to the severe arthritis in her wrists. Do I have to get it myself now? The only thing it lacks is a trash tongs or a built-in design element to lift the lid. (My version of the manual opener has a small handle for lifting the lid). I tried their new opener and it was easy for me to lift the lid but I told her to use gloves to open it just in case any areas were sharp because it lifts the entire lid.
