This did not work for me in my application

I purchased this product to connect a Supro low pressure switch to the suction (steam) line of an HVAC compressor. I attached the switch to the center leg of the tee, but the valve core was hidden in the 1/4" flare with 2 extra threads (see pic. 8 threads total) so the compressor wouldn't start! I have the access cover installed to show 2 extra threads. Access via branch had 6 threads - works! Replacing the low pressure switch with another branch does not solve the problem. I was hoping to use a Schrader valve to prevent refrigerant from blowing out when I would have to replace the low pressure switch.The line is I can't use the Accessibility Plot.Too bad I didn't know that before the return deadline.Bad part!
