Purchased to replace slow starters in Polaris Trail Boss. Got up straight away with no problems. I used my old starter. I have a sealing problem. He is very thin. I used a #2 Form A gasket to make sure it was airtight. This starter is located on the underside of the engine, so water can get into the starter every time you wade. I also did a test to see the difference in amperage between this and the old one. This draws 10 amps more. But the old one worked very slowly. Didn't even start the ATV. This cranks the engine and starts immediately. Time will tell. Update from 06/18/20 when to start the ATV and now the starter does not work properly. The starter engages and cranks the engine, but once the engine hits the compression stroke the starter disengages and only cranks until I release the starter button. But it starts immediately with the help of recoil. Downgraded to 4 stars
