Review on Squeaky Armadillo Pet Plush Dog Chew Toy - Hollypet Dark Gray by Scott Yenson

I wanted a unique toy for my dog who has a huge collection of dog toys, many hand-me-downs from past dogs. She has many stuffed foxes, tigers, dogs, hedgehogs, and more, but no armadillo, so I bought her this.Because I was forewarned by other reviewers that this toy contains an unsafe plastic bag, the first thing I did was to make an incision to remove said plastic bag. Unfortunately the plastic bag was integral to the tube being able to make a low pitched grunting noise. So I removed the tube which no longer functioned without the bag. I inserted several replacement squeakers before sewing him up, but he no longer grunts. This is annoying because I have purchased dog toys in the past with grunting mechanisms that were NOT dependent on a plastic bag to work. It seems that this company just cheaped out when selecting a noise maker.This is a cute dog toy but it has issues that can only be partially remedied by surgery. I vacillated between 4 stars and 3, but because this armadillo is very charming, I gave it the extra star for cuteness. I bought this as an xmas present for my dog, so she has yet to see it, but I'm certain it will not fail to delight. She loves her toys.
