Some important things to remember when using this kettle is to turn off the kettle once it starts whistling. The lid is plastic and when the kettle boils the top can melt as I have seen in some photos. Also remove the top lid after the water boils and let it cool before replacing the lid. I can't stress this enough, don't wait an extra 20 seconds to finish what you're doing before turning off the kettle when it whistles. Also, please read the instructions before use. The hole is small, so it is difficult to clean with a sponge. Abrasive cleaners/products are not recommended. I suggest using a silicone dish soap bottle brush which should get the job done.
