Gorgeous teapot! the best of teapots

Fantastic! The whistle/cap is a bit odd when steam comes out, but if you squeeze the top handle to open it, the steam is less likely to hit your hand. feel of high quality. At first we used it carefully, now we don't have to worry about using it normally and damaging it. The glass is great, you can see the water boiling and there are no fancy coatings getting into the boiling water. Heats water in the same time as our old metal kettle. On the side of what we got it says Schott Duran made in…

Good buy! - Kitchen & Dining

I love this glass Cafe Brew Whistling Kettle. Easy to clean, heats water quickly! I've tried so many expensive china and so called stainless steel teapots it's ridiculous! I've spent a lot of money on them just rusting or peeling or just falling apart. Just make sure you have a good footing to sit on! I am so happy with this item that I purchased. I have also sent photos to relatives who shop at Revain looking for whistles, this one will definitely get it 👍

The lid whistles.

I think the company behind these fancy kettles tried to save a few pennies by using a different plastic in the lid than the handle. This was a bad idea, however, as the whistle lid will subsequently melt when prompted to perform normal kettle operations, such as boiling. B. boiling water. Purchase of a teapot for thirteen dollars. But I recommend you look elsewhere and spend a few bucks more for a non-melting version.

Clean clean boiled water

The teapot I received has a curved handle, not a straight one like the photo. But that's okay as the plastic and your hand are further away from the hot glass and oven heat. There are fewer traces of paint on this teapot than on my previous one. Basically, the minimum and six cup volume markings are on the side. But as a side note, a warning about a 12-cup max capacity. It also heats water quickly. The whistle is not as loud as my previous kettle. Make sure you put the whistle/lid all the way…

Boils water in 5 minutes

Believe it or not, I didn't buy this to boil water for tea or coffee. I had to boil distilled water (for sterilization) for 5 minutes to wash my nose. The kettle whistle is not loud enough to hear when you are in another room. I don't like that you can't reach into the kettle to hand wash it so I put it on the top rack of the dishwasher with no problems. Leaves a backing on the inner glass after boiling filtered tap water (instead of distilled) which I don't want to use for drinking or rinsing…

Happy with purchase

Some important things to remember when using this kettle is to turn off the kettle once it starts whistling. The lid is plastic and when the kettle boils the top can melt as I have seen in some photos. Also remove the top lid after the water boils and let it cool before replacing the lid. I can't stress this enough, don't wait an extra 20 seconds to finish what you're doing before turning off the kettle when it whistles. Also, please read the instructions before use. The hole is small, so it is

WHAT A MAN! DO NOT BUY!

1 - Arrived broken. I opened the box to find that part of the ring around the top had broken off before I received it. I wish I had returned it but I'm really lazy. 2 - The handle heats up more than enough to BURN YOU even when using a low flame. You cannot use this kettle at temperatures without burning yourself. Which was NOT the case with the previous version. 3 - The handle turned white hot and nearly caught fire today, leading to this rating. EDIT: The broken handle was the reason it…

The redesigned grip really doesn't overheat.

I had one of these Medelco kettles before the handle was changed and didn't like it at all. It was inconvenient to use and unless you put it on a very low fire the handle gets too hot. No longer! I broke two of my expensive (and overly fragile) blue handle top borosilicate teapots and couldn't find another design I liked that had a well designed handle that didn't get hot. After hours of searching I realized I didn't have many options so I decided to try again and I'm glad I did! The handle has
