They work great as long as you use the potentiometer.

I tried setting three to a fixed output using the resistors and instructions provided. There is no joy. A setting of 5V gives an output voltage of about 4.3V in all cases. I suspect that resistor tolerances are not very good and 4.3 volts when you need 5 volts is not acceptable. If you connect them to the VOM and adjust the output with a tiny potentiometer - they work great! Presumably anyone who wants to use them probably has the right testing equipment, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Don't worry about fixed voltage output options.
