Review on 🌍 Garmin Forerunner 55 GPS Running Watch: Daily Suggested Workouts, Long Battery Life - White by Tyler Markham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable quality watch

I received this watch as an upgrade from an original Vivoactive that had run out of battery. So the battery life was a big plus for me and this watch is a joy to use. The first 2 weeks I ran two 5 mile runs and at the end of those 2 weeks it was still 30%. I also like that it's round and I didn't think I would. I'm used to big watches. It's not small, but it's not as big as I'm used to either. I think the size is almost right. I've only used it for running and cycling so far and it seems accurate. I did not use the recommended training function. I like that the notifications use a short vibration and a light background. The buttons are pretty intuitive once you get used to them. I also took a big step right after I received this watch and it bumped a bit while moving but there were no marks or scratches on it. You shouldn't buy this watch if you want a lot of smartwatch features, microphone, touchscreen or built-in music. You should get this watch if you want long battery life, accurate GPS tracking, and reasonably good sleep/health/heart rate tracking. I would definitely make this choice again.

Pros
  • Plan your race day strategy with the PacePro feature (not compatible with on-device courses), which provides GPS pace control for your chosen course or distance
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
