I finally managed to use this for a big cut. That is amazing! This tube lasts a very long time. This is a metal tube with a plastic cap; the lid has a plug-like interior that closes the tube. The material on the outside looks like a juicy resin of light green color. I used my pinky to place the material over the cropped area. It melts at the cut end and hardens, protecting the open end from bugs or just from drying out and dying. I was looking for something similar for the plants I prune, but it wasn't until I got into bonsai that I discovered this. It's better than the old-fashioned tar method where you damage a tree in the garden with a pickle; It blends into the wood and works well!
