Overview AA Mini Flashlight

The attached photo shows from left to right: * Coast HP1 190 Lumens Focusing LED Flashlight * Gerber Recon Multi-Color Flashlight, Black [22-80016] * LRI PPRO Proton Pro, White/Red, LED 2 Colors in 1 Flashlight, 1 Pack * Fenix Flashlights E12 Flashlight 130 Lumens Black * Zebralight SC52Fw L2 AA Floody Flashlight Neutral White Here are my micro thoughts on each: * Coast HP1 190 Lumens Focusing LED Flashlight 3 1/2 Stars Very bright. Bigger and heavier than others . The only one here that focuses on distance, so it's good for illuminating long distances. * Multicolor Gerber Recon Flashlight Black [22-80016] 3 stars. Nice little flashlight. Uses a simple rotating color filter wheel. Not very bright. Suitable when you need white, red, blue and green light.* LRI PPRO Proton Pro White/Red 2 Color In 1 LED Flashlight 1 Pack 4 1/2 Stars As an amateur astronomer, I need both red and white light. This product has variable brightness for red and white LEDs, from very dim to very bright when the battery is low. Overall a great product. * Fenix Flashlights E12 Flashlight 130 Lumens, Black 4 1/2 Stars. This is a great little flashlight. Very light and small. Very bright. .I give it half a star because it only supports 3 levels of brightness. It's not fully variable brightness. However, it is very easy to switch between the three brightness levels. Also note that the ergonomics could be improved as it's difficult to tell the front from the back by touch - I found myself pressing down on the lens to turn it on!* Zebralight SC52Fw L2 AA Floody Flashlight Neutral White 4 Star This is also a good little flashlight. It's pretty weak on the minimum setting, so I use it at home at night. The Fenix E12 lights, even on the minimum setting, are too bright for me indoors at night. I love the ergonomic ribbing on the Zebralight. In its bright environment, it may not be bright enough to go hiking with, for example. This flashlight has the best ergonomics of all tested. Good big convenient button to turn on. Great in hand.
