Mostly useless for body repair tools

I can't get the bolts to hold even though I've cleaned the metal to a mirror finish. It overheats almost instantly and takes a long time to turn off to cool down. I tried heat shrink tubing, didn't work either. The only thing that might come in handy is a slide hammer, but I haven't had much luck with that either. I didn't use it until past the return date so I'm now stuck with a piece of junk.
