These replacement cartridges work great in older GE RO units. Unlike GE replacement cartridges, they don't come with a small tube of silicone grease for the O-rings on the housings.

The price is right as is the product. Pay attention to the correct order when replacing. There is a difference between the two filters. One is better than the other. A pre-filter, a post-filter. I highly recommend.

Washers fell off both filters. Running water through the system several times tastes like plastic. It smells too. Just buy original filters. Those who say it's a pre and post filter, if your system doesn't tell you they're different then it doesn't matter.

I couldn't believe the other reviews that mentioned terrible taste. How wrong was I! Unfortunately, filters produce horrible tasting water. God knows what they use as filter material. God knows what kind of water we drink after using these filters. Returned.

I bought these to try and save money as GE filters are expensive. The water quality is nowhere near as good as GE filters and the water just doesn't taste as good as GE filters. I will not buy this product again in the future.

These filters gave the water a plastic taste even after reverse osmosis was installed. I've been using RO for 6 years and have lots of spare filters. This was the first time this problem occurred. Brand? Bad match for the brand? I don't know, but I put the old used filters back and ordered new ones from the former brand.

They are compatible with GE reverse osmosis units, but the GEFX12P and GE FX12M are much more than the carbon block filters they are. They are not even pointed out to the buyer as to which filter is a pre or post filter and I wouldn't know which filter is which if there wasn't some further verification here.
