I got two for my hurricane kit and have since purchased four more to ship to friends and family in Puerto Rico.The dual design worked great during the brief power outage at my house during hurricane Irma (about 12 hours, but I only needed light for about 3 or 4). I say "little" because it is a little smaller than I expected (though all I had to do was read the dimensions, so that's on me) but it operates very easily and is very bright. Changing it from a hand-held to a ground-sitting light really couldn't be easier. The wide angle lighting from the base is excellent. The ABS body is very light but seems like it will hold up. Only time will tell, but so far, for $11, you can't beat it.

These are extremely bright, and they feel fairly durable. I gave it 5 stars, but here's 2 improvements I'd suggest:1.) The battery compartment screw-in cap is really easy to get cross threaded and seems harder than it should be to screw back on. Not sure how or why. The package came with two lanterns, as well as batteries. They are not that big, and easy to carry around. Brighter than I expected, and easy to operate. Very useful for camping trips, night hikes and emergencies. The fact that they are powered by AA batteries is also an advantage. I guess I didn't read it through. I had no idea there would be 2. And i did not know they would be really small. I also didn't know they would come with there own batteries lol. But they do work. They are really bright. I just wish there was a picture indicating how small it was. And I wish the title mentioned that you get 2 of them. To me V2 means like version 2.

I like these a lot. Since moving to a house that has powerlines above-ground, my power goes out several times per year, so I needed more than just candles. These lanterns are great for smaller spaces or areas, but when I go outside at night to check on my ducks, I wish the flashlight feature was brighter.
