Need the correct filter

Wrong part number of the fuel filter in the Craftsman mower manual. Gravity fuel system requires part number 25 050 21-S1. The filter listed in the owner's manual will cause the engine to stall after about 15 minutes. This filter works great!

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Everything OK

Replacement Prefect Craftsman LT 2500 Kohler

This was the perfect replacement for my Craftsman LT2500 with the Kohler 22hp engine. The change only took a few minutes. Works as well or even better than OEM. My mower was only 2 years old but I just wanted to keep it running. Make sure that either all fuel is drained or you have a container to drain the fuel after disconnecting the line. The product arrived quickly.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Good but not great

Finally a fuel filter that fits my Kohler powered Craftsman lawn mower!

Man I'm so glad I bought this fuel filter! I use the Kohler filter listed in the owner's manual for my Sears Craftsman garden tractor and for years this tractor has acted like it will run out of gas when the tank is half full. Eventually I found out that the Craftsman manual listed the wrong part number, a fuel filter with pores too small to work properly with the tractor's gravity fuel system. This filter does the job and I am able to completely drain the fuel tank before the engine shows any…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

There is some magic in these filters!

My Craftsman lawn tractor (Kohler CV16 engine) started stalling and stumbling last year. The original fuel filter was 11 years old and needed to be replaced. I couldn't find a genuine Kohler locally, so I installed a generic filter from a hardware store. Tractor still stalls when driving uphill. I removed the fuel line from the carburetor and fuel flowed through the fuel line and common filter (it flowed very well. lots of flow). I thought that maybe the carburetor was clogged and needed…
