Good, affordable system. Great customer support.

Installed these cameras (and 2 more) in September. Cameras are very clear and setup went well. The app you need to install on your phone to view cameras away from home is ok. I have had the occasional issue, but Tech support is great to work with. They are quick to respond and very patient. So far, they have resolved every minor issue quickly. As with any electronic device you may have occasional issues, but the cameras abilities far outweigh the few hiccups.

No battery life in my review

The cameras were great, the tech support was awful, there was no phone number to call for the US only a text from China. Battery life of the monitor only last 8 minutes after charging the whole day and even then the monitor would only be able to be off the charging cable for an hour max per the instructions. We were trying to use this as a baby/child monitor system. The monitor also couldn't be on if it was charging.

Excellent hardware -Use Potplayer to view videos on your Windows PC

This is an excellent video system, with really sharp and clear pictures in daylight (and quite impressive night vision in the dark). It is clear that this system is thoughtfully designed and nicely finished and of excellent quality. It has some nice features, such as overwriting the oldest videos on the chip, automatically coordinating the date/ time via your router to the internet, a logical file system that records videos according to camera and then by date and then by hour. My only gripe is

Excellent NVR and Cameras at a Reasonable Cost

I have purchased both the 4-Channel and 8-Channel NVR's and cameras. Both stationary and PTZ type cameras. All work well. Had a bit of a problem with the PTZ camera's after performing a firmware upgrade from the TonTon website (it is recommended that if you want to upgrade the firmware, contact Support first so you get the right version). The PTZ functionality stopped working after the upgrade. I contacted support and they were very responsive and after several attempts to get the PTZ problem…

Awesome battery powered security system!

I LOVE how the display is battery powered! If you need to get up and check something in another room, you can just unplug the display and take it with you. This also makes installation a breeze. This is perfect for businesses and family members who might be intimidated or confused by using a mobile app or traditional IP camera software. You just mount the cameras, get power to them, turn on the display, and it's up and running. There's no complicated setup process. I also love these Tonton…

Malfunctioning system. Zero help.

This is my second system within one year. This second one came with several problems. The camera both seem fine. The split screen kept jumping from one screen to two with seconds. The Eastern USA time was off by ten minutes and I was no given the option to manually fix it. The volume kept turning off within minutes of turning it on.There is no expert help at Best Buy. I called and was told to go straight to the company. I emailed them five times with pictures and explanation of the problem…

Unsettling lag but good video

Bought this to do double duty as baby monitor and security system. Had to contact tech support a couple times to figure out how to keep the sound from turning off since we need to hear the kid but finally got it mostly set. Video is great both for day and night. Only issue now, and it’s worrisome, is there is a lag of a minute or so. I can say goodnight, go downstairs to the base unit and see & hear myself talking. Works great for what we use it for.

We do not have it attached to our wifi system. I can't rate that aspect of the system. The SD system works great and that is what we use it for. We have other systems already running on our wifi that do other things.
