Threaded inserts are easy to install, simply drill the appropriately sized hole and Install the inserts with the hex key provided or other optional drive tools you have. 1/4-20 threaded inserts are the ideal solution for softwood, hardwood, plywood, MDF, and composition board. Threaded inserts head diameter: 0.461" / 11.7mm, body diameter: 0.315" / 8mm, threads diameter: 0.410" / 10.4mm. In Softwood, recommended drill bits for these threaded inserts are 8.5mm, 9mm, 9.5mm / 3/8". In hardwood such as white oak or maple, recommended drill bits are 9.5mm, 3/8 inch, or 10mm.

Wood Furniture Inserts

I used these inserts to add legs to a new sofa. Great product and fits the wood very securely if you drill the correct size pilot hole and on the bag the drilling dimensions are given for ease of use. I think this is a great product.

Good fit and easy installation

These inserts are easy to install and strong. Not as durable as some of the more expensive materials on the market, but still durable enough for DIY furniture, home decoration, etc. Great value for money. Just make sure you use the right size drill bit and a dab of glue or epoxy to attach them to the wood.

It is the best tool to complete your project

I used to use 20 or 25mm in most of my projects. Getting those flimsy screws secure has always been a problem, when i need to close two surfaces really perfectly, this screw is shorter but the size is wide enough to secure both screw and nut when i need to squeeze them tight.this good buy and good quality to use.
