I returned this unit; I misread the one I chose and just missed the rest. The Revain service returned the money quickly. Any problems with the product were simply a misunderstanding on the part of the buyer and not due to a problem with the product.

Nice display. It would be better if the HDMI adapter had a better fit (RPi 4 only). After some work using a rotary tool to move the mounting holes on my RPi 4 it works. If you're starting with an RPi 4, don't rotate the RPi. Start HDMI first.

AMOLED display has great color gamut, black in - black out and the colors are bright. Worked out of the box on my Raspberry Pi 3b+ without any special drivers or settings. The only thing that confuses me is that my skin oils result in a diffractive effect on the display which is easily eliminated by the screen cloth, but it would still be nice to use an oleophobic coating to minimize this effect.

Rather, it's 1080px HIGHT and 1920px WIDTH - more like a phone display than a computer display. If you use it as intended with a flexible device like a computer or PI, it doesn't matter as these devices can adapt. But if you're thinking of using this for something inflexible like a satellite receiver, set top box, DVD or BluRay player, or AHD to HDMI adapter (like me)

I think almost everything has been written about this monitor other than its usability as a TV or video monitor. Although (too) often stated otherwise, this is not 1920x1080, but 1080x1920. Is it important? Yes, unfortunately! For example camcorders, televisions,. There is no configuration file to change the output orientation. So in those cases, the ad is just garbage. Until recently, the Waveshare wiki showed incorrect information.
