My teething puppy was so hard to walk on a normal leash. Since we’ve gotten this, she is much easier to control when we walk past other dogs/people. She doesn’t pull as hard, and I have peace of mind with the adjustable stopper piece knowing I’m not choking her. It’s lasted well through all her chewing as well!

My dog does not try to chew it so I cannot attest to that, but it is pretty sturdy stuff. I assume a dog could gnaw through it, but only over time and much effort. It is thicker and stronger than I expected. The leather ring keeps the loop around the dog's neck from falling lose and slipping down. The metal retainer absolutely prevents over tightening. The leash itself isn’t bad but the plastic connecting piece on the loop that goes around my dog’s neck is big and bulky. It rubs a lot, takes up a ton of room, and I’m pretty sure is choking him. This might work for larger dogs but not for smaller dogs with fragile necks like my 13 lbs Shih Tzu. Returning item

I volunteer at a local animal shelter. I love the easy of leashing the dog, the side of the leash makes it comfortable for the dog, the padded handle provides comfort and added control. I have recommended them to my fellow volunteers.

I'm not sure why there are bad reviews. I bought this for a 20lb. Golden puppy. It's a little overkill now, but she is growing very fast. It's a heavy-duty "rope" leash, has a great handle, and the slip mechanism works very well. The only way a dog/puppy can get out of it or ruin this monster is because you let them. I love this leash for my 85 lb Belgian Mallinois. So I bought a 2nd one for my German Shepherd puppy. Still love the leash but my 2nd leash did not arrive with the poop pouch. I like the soft pouch V’s plastic ones and wish the vendor would read this review and send me a pouch.

I wish I had gotten this lead sooner, it has made barn hunt release so easy. I cannot wait to use it during FastCAT, my girl is a puller and my hands are sensitive. BUY THIS LEAD!

Purchased this a while ago so we have been on many walks with it. It is a sturdy leash (80# Pitt mix) for our rescue that doesn’t have the best leash training. The padding on the handle makes it so much enjoyable for us to use and the length is great to let him get some sniffs while still being able to control him and reel him in if needed. The added bonus of the bag holder is very nice. Highly recommended!

I have 2 Bull Terriers and both of them responded respectfully to these leashes right away! I love how easy they are to use too! I did trim the foam handle shorter on each side of them, I didn't like how long they were, felt awkward around my wrist. But once I did, they were perfect!

One of my dogs pulls like a train. He just bails right ahead and this thing really didn't stop that. I think it is just my dog is a stronger puller. I don't even think he knows he's pulling. My 40 lb dog loves to excessively pull away, sniff everything, cross into my path, and get distracted on walks and I end up with a sore shoulder and hand from trying to train her to stay by my side. A friend recommended a slip leash like this but said that I should put it around my dog's neck, then make it into a figure 8 shape and loop it around her nose as well. This leash is strong, extends out far enough for my dog to enjoy her walk, and has been chew-free. My dog has gone through a lot of leashes (aka. Chewing them to pieces), but for some reason, she steers clear of this one to my delight. I am able to attach dog bags to the leash and my keys. It is the longest lasting leash I’ve had so far.

I love this leash. It's very comfortable to hold and feels very secure. I used two 5 foot leashes for my two Cavalier puppies. I know this is going to sound stupid, but our Maltese is an absolute demon to walk. He pulls, barks, tries to bite and lunge his body at people. When someone walks by, the sirens go off. One of the reasons I selected this lead was the added bonus of a poop bag dispenser. While the lead itself is really nice, it arrived missing the pouch it was advertised as being included.

Would prefer a more flexible lead as it is stiff. Have not used it as much as I thought I would. Was hoping it would get more flexible with use. Good for training but difficult to hold.
