I make a lot of jewelry and work with pliers. Many of them are clumsy and awkward. They have a beautifully crafted handle, are easy to move and precise. I don't use them for snap rings, but a good pair of pliers is good for many purposes.

circlips are so pita but still so useful. Installing and removing can be tedious at times. a good pair of pliers will help. loaded, which helps, on the few I've tested they bite into the locking ring hole well. the pliers pulls slightly at the pivot point. I tried oiling it and it helped a lot but still a bit harsh but given the price here. Overall good ring pliers.

I love these Retaining Ring Pliers. You are definitely capable. I like the slim design and the handles that are comfortable to hold and use. When fully open they stick a little. A little more oil and some opening and closing might help. Another issue is that they are spring loaded to stay open. And they do. I wish there was some sort of latch on the ends of the handles or elsewhere to keep them closed in the toolbox. An elastic band is also useful for improvising. Good quality and price. 4…

What did I use it for? I used these snap ring pliers to remove the lawn mower pulley. The pulley had an external snap ring, so these pliers weren't designed to remove the external snap rings, but they did the job anyway; I only had to use two hands to open the pliers.
