On first use with little force the depressed pivot pin came loose. It's okay, a few bucks at the hardware store replaced it with a screw , and I'm back in business. However, the metal is quite malleable and bends easily. I wasn't able to hold the pulley which I was trying to loosen. I don't know what it will get me, but I will hold on to it.I used a tool to remove the fan clutch from the water pump pulley.

This is a good tool for the money but has some design flaws, different sized pins are good but not for heavy use, with any pressure on all handles, the pins come out of the square, the central clasp, where the axis of the finger is located, will also stretch. The fingertips are too wide to be used with a smaller type of plunger so I had to sharpen them a bit to get the tool to work with my centers. I have a crankshaft pulley that needs to be removed from an engine that is unable to crank the starter to tighten the crankshaft bolt remove. I bought this kit to remove the pulley. When I first applied torque to it, which was very light, the center pin pulled out of the mounting hole and now just spins freely in the hole it was supposed to fit snugly. Adding to the problems, they send you a bunch of small sets of pins and a long large set of pins that I had to cut off the ends of to fit my…
