Inexpensive solution to a common problem.

I installed this kit in a customer's 2005 X3 and everything worked great. It was easy to install and saved the customer a good amount of money. The original was in several pieces. This felt like a better quality product. The lights went out immediately after starting the vehicle after the repair.*****Update: Unfortunately, I hear the rattle and the 4X4 light is on once again. Great replacement part.

Replaced BMW part and fixed myself. Was a little tricky but for $15 versus $1000 job from the dealer. Was a little tricky but with a little patience. Car is back in 4x4!

Well spent money - my new review

I replaced these gears in the control motor myself I gave it a 5 star on easy to install because it was exactly what I expected not because it was like putting on a pair of shoes. Anyone with basic skills in auto repair could probably do this no real special tools required. Check your metric to SAE wrenches you will find you do not need to buy certain Metric wrenches 18MM ? try 3/4
