Excellent fit for 2017 Silverado LT Z71

Fits and looks great on the front of my 2017 Silverado LT Z71! They need to be drilled and the size is not the standard off the shelf drill set. I just used 5/16 (the first size mentioned in the instructions, 5/16 might be wrong, I already threw away the instructions) and moved the drill into the hole to make it big enough to put the female part in to drive the truck. Simply tap the hammer lightly until it is flush with the truck.

Pros
  • Protects your car from mud, gravel and spray
Cons
  • Has been damaged

The rivet nuts had to be changed for my setup

These are quality flaps but unlike the rear ones they use rivet nuts for the top two holes on each side and I've sanded down part of the top flange on each nut so they go all the way in due to the raised portion of the wing. Also, I found that the 23/64" hole was too big to get the rivet nut in properly and I used a small amount of JB Weld on each of them to hold them in place. Instead, I suggest using an 11/32 inch bit.

Pros
  • Accent the look of your car
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Fit well but their mounting system sucks

I installed them on a 2015 Silverado High Country. As the title of my reviews suggests, the fit is good, but their attachment system sucks. I've included a video of how easily their screw bits come out if you drill the size holes they recommend. I've also included a picture to show I used the drill bit they recommended. The solution for me was to use self-tapping screws, which eliminates the need to drill holes and then paint those screws black to match anything. Use 11/32 bits and hammer. But…

Pros
  • Protects the car from tire spatter and mud
Cons
  • Negative gift
