Plastic broke on bearing seat. Replaced both fittings leading to the heater core in my 2010 Canyon. Perfect fit, very easy assembly.

Better than Dorman for belts, hoses and pulleys

Dorman lasted about a year then drained the antifreeze. All local parts dealers deal exclusively with Dorman. This one uses an external steel spring rather than a cheap internal plastic lock (spike).

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other kits

Works as a replacement for

So why GM designed such a fragile plastic thing, who knows. I think to create a sacrificial vulnerability instead of the heater core to fail. A good option as a quick replacement for a part that almost nobody carries in stock. This is easy to fix yourself if the hose is in good condition.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • The list will be long.

2010 Chevy Colorado V8 -- Remove the Old Plug With a Master Wrench!

Perfect match for my 2010 Chevy Colorado V8. I used a cheap HF pick to remove the spring clip and the old connector popped right out. Do not purchase a removal tool as it will not fit between the port and the firewall. The selection tool worked great.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Small Parts

Genuine OEM replacement

Vehicle: 2011 GMC Canyon SLE I5Genuine OEM replacement. Stay away from Dorman or similar parts as they rely on brittle plastic tabs that snap onto the heater core. They are also difficult to remove as you need a removal tool. In my case there wasn't enough room for the tool and I had to cut it off with a dremel. This replacement part uses a retaining clip that "snaps" onto the heater core. The clip is easy to remove and fits much better than plastic tabs. The seal also appears to be of better…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
