Good, but not like it used to be. They don't last long

Works well but not as long as the old ones. I would pay more for better quality straps but there aren't that many. I used to get rid of belts for years but not now. Buy a well-known brand and, as always, you get what you pay for today in the land of VERY cheap auto parts.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • There are problems

Stick to the factory parts

I replaced two Dayco belts that I bought from a local dealer. After about a week they started squeaking. I read on the S10 forum that I'm not the only one with this problem. The solution for others and for me is to install this OE ACDelco factory part. The mechanic at the shop where I service my car said he had to take the front of the engine apart and use a spacer to move one of the pulleys. A much cheaper solution and if you know DIY techniques it takes about 15 minutes to swap out.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not sure

I decided to replace the serpentine belt at the same time as the radiator in my 1998 Chevy Blazer. The quality of this belt compared to what was already in my car was a revelation. The Best of ACDelco is very well made and looks like it will last a lifetime. After riding this new serpentine belt for a few months I can appreciate how smooth this belt is and how quiet it is. If you skimp on quality, you must make up for it in quantity. I highly recommend this serpentine belt.

ACDelco 6K960 Best in Serpentine

This ACDelco 6K960 serpentine belt is perfect for my 99 K1500 Suburban with Dual Air Conditioning, C60 (HVAC SYSTEM, FRONT MANUAL AIR CONDITIONING) and K68 (GENER05 codes AMPjTORA). can be found in the glove box on the back of the door and correspond to GM RPO codes listed on many websites. The packaging says 20 mm (0.787 in) x 2453 mm (97.36 in). I measured the outside diameter of this belt as 95.0 inches, and the old Gates belt that is being replaced is also 95.0 inches. Looks like ACDelcoโ€ฆ

Not for 1997 GMC Jimmy 4x4 4.3 with A/C

I bought this belt to carry in an emergency while traveling. According to Revain, this belt fits my GMC Jimmy with air conditioning. Well it isn't. Although my original belt never failed on the road, I decided to put it in when replacing the water pump. It's about an inch less. I was very lucky not to need it on my outback adventures or long trips. Of course, this is an exit from the return window. My 1997 A/C Blazer calls for 6K960 on the GM website and other reputable auto parts stores, but I
