Dead Easy, Home WiFi for $13.

I bought a cheap refurbished Lenovo Mini PC here at Revain and chose it because it was cheap. I knew it didn't have Wi-Fi so I bought it at the same time. Plugged directly into the back of the computer, Windows 7 Pro found it, recognized it, installed the drivers, asked me to connect to my home network, and then I was done. Sorry I couldn't do this lengthy review but it just works. Hey, isn't that someone's motto?! :-D

Good for 2 g in Computers and accessories

This connects your device to Wi-Fi. It serves its purpose. My only advice to you is to check if your router offers 5G and your device is close enough to accept 5G. If you can connect to 5g then go elsewhere. Plus, the low price is what you will get. It works, but the software that comes with it is a bit choppy and cheap. If you just want to stream video and don't need to share the signal with too many others, choose this option.

Nice little adapter, I would buy again.

Quick and easy installation and setup. Make sure you have installed the drivers on the included disc before connecting the adapter to your computer. The connection interface is also simple and convenient. I hooked it up to a win 7 friend's computer who lives across the street from me so she can use my wifi on the guest's 2.4 band. On my router, over Wi-Fi alone, I get 160 Mbps, and on her PC, across the street and through some walls, she gets 25 Mbps. It's quite far, around 125 feet, but it'sโ€ฆ

Great compatibility, bad bandwidth

This adapter worked straight away with every device I've tried. This list is not extensive, but includes five different Linux distributions (from older 3.16.0 kernels to newer 4.7.6 kernels) and the highly proprietary ChannelMaster DVR. Even with a Wi-Fi-N connection, the throughput leaves something to be desired (2.5 MB/s when transferring large files). As a result, I probably wouldn't trust it for streaming unless you're in relatively close proximity to your router and/or don't mind a bit ofโ€ฆ

Terrible performance

I wanted to upgrade my 150Mbps wireless adapter which normally gives around 40Mbps download speed. My desktop is on the opposite end of the house from where the router is, so I'm trying to turn on my current adapter and came across this one. I read the specs and all the reviews and for the money I thought it was a steal so I ordered it. Installation was very easy and quick and I was able to get it up and running in seconds with no issues, but then I saw that my download speed was around 20Mbps.

Technically working

Technically working, very bad, but working. I bought 2 of these about 8 months ago and both technically work. The antenna on one of them broke and seems to be stuck there. Installation was fairly easy, so there weren't any major problems. I have attached 2 pictures to this review, one is the broken antenna and the other is my speed test. The maximum speed test from my desktop computer with this Wi-Fi adapter works as you can see "technically". The following speed test was run from my phoneโ€ฆ

Works GREAT once you get it working, but worth it!

Four stars from me because the instructions are terrible. It ran and failed until after much guesswork I finally got it to work. The other side of the coin is: as soon as I launched it, my internet speed increased significantly. Too bad the instructions are so bad. I'm by no means a techie, so if you're a techie, installing it might be an easy task for you. For your information: 1. "Key" refers to your dongle for connecting to your home/office wireless internet.2. Install the software FIRST and
