Vise inserts for machining soft metals like aluminium. I use them to mount the -AN fittings as they don't damage the anodized finish in any way. If you've ever had to tighten something made of soft metal, you'll find that the rubber inserts may not hold the object tight enough, but without them you'll scratch the surface of what you're working on. These inserts solve that problem.

Great tool but the magnets aren't the strongest and be careful they can still damage your anodized aluminum hardware no matter how careful you are. I've used tape around the hardware as well as the inner grooves of these jaws to reduce metal to metal contact and they still bite and chew on your hardware a bit.
