Ideal for older or hard-to-start outboards

225hp outboard that had a difficult start that was always difficult to refuel. Starting has always been a drag because I never knew if my battery would die trying to start the engine. Changed the fuel lines and primer 4 times and even installed a new tank. Someone suggested adding a booster pump to the fuel line, which I've never heard of. Now the engine starts every 2 seconds. It's amazing and makes fishing and boating fun again. I hooked up my pump to the ignition system so it only works well

Pros
  • Electric fuel pumps
Cons
  • Intervals

I was having trouble starting my 150hp outboard. for some time. Tried many solutions and things suggested on forums related to fuel delivery, which seems to be the case. Decided to eliminate any potential problems by bypassing any potential problems by going straight from the fuel tank to the carburetors with a new fuel line and this pump in-line. This was supposed to be a test but now the boat is working better than it has in a long time. The pressure is low enough that there are no problems…

Pros
  • Spares
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Great marine/boat app! TO UPDATE!

I have a 150hp Johnson carburetor. It's in my ignition so it turns on and off with the boat. Works amazing, it was before sea bass season opened and I've been trolling 8 hours a day maybe 6 or 7 times and works great, no problems, good coastguard approved product! TO UPDATE! I bought this a few months ago, it worked great in the spring and most of the summer but broke when I was ashore with my family. Luckily I had a manual fuel lamp so I could get great work on land days again Don't make sure…

Pros
  • Fuel system
Cons
  • So far so good

Nice as a lift pump! Well made, efficient and quiet.

This is a very unusual application. I've been doing diesel VW rabbits for a long time. One of the most frustrating things to deal with is that the diesel injection pump has a rather unique fault. The high-side injects fuel into the engine at thousands of pounds per square inch. The problem is on the low pressure side. It should suck two or three feet of fuel from the fuel tank. This is of course the side on which the shaft is driven by the toothed belt. There is a bushing, no bearings. Since it

Pros
  • Fuel pumps and accessories
Cons
  • Available in white only
