Unfortunately the generator failed after two weeks. It is very disappointing that you have to destroy everything again.

Generator works great. If you have a runaway or a sailor, this whole job sucks. But you can't blame the generator manufacturer for that.

Man I'd like to give zero stars. Spent 4 hours replacing the whole thing only to find out it was a bad unit that came right out of the box. The flyback window closed before I could pull it out.

This alternator was bad out of the box. Not recommended. Spend extra money to get one with money. Disappointing considering it takes 4 hours to disassemble the car to collect it. Absurd.

After recovering from a shock sticker at dealer listed price to replace a dead alternator with my son's Escape. Bought this one and made it myself. It's been about three hours and yes it will show up between the firewall and the engine. There are great videos on YouTube.

I was surprised to find generators at Revain. Especially when we opened the box and it was brand new! After a few videos, my husband got to work. Installed great, works great. Ordered Tuesday and arrived Thursday. Would order from this seller again anytime.

Alternator works great. If you try to do this job yourself, be prepared to get your ass kicked. google and read youtube for more uninstall and install options. I tell you so much, you make up some four letter words in full sentences. mechanic for a long time.

I installed this alternator on my 2002 Ford Escape 3.0 v6 engine in October 2017, 4 months ago. Since then there have been no more problems with charging. This is a completely new part. ALL auto parts stores sell remanufactured alternators for $100 more. As difficult as it is to fit a generator in this car, why not fit a new part and save money. Shame on the part of the stores for robbing consumers. I highly recommend this piece.

You'll have a heck of a time to remove this if you've never changed it on this car. You basically need to remove the 2001 Escape's three mounting bolts, mounting bracket and cooling shroud, then figure out how to properly maneuver the generator ONLY to remove it from the frame and rack/drive assemblies, and do that AFTER removal. Drive axle on the passenger side. If you're patient it will do, but it's like a breech baby. The generator itself appears to be of good quality and so far (3 weeks)…
