I was shocked to learn that it has an automatic desulfation function. And you can leave it on as a charger. Very good product.

Very disappointed. Steady green light on; It should turn off completely when charging is complete. I don't want to risk damaging the battery so it was a waste of money.

I needed a car charger and a SLA battery that I use for ham, but I didn't need all the bells and whistles. This charger fully meets the requirements. I was leaning towards the battery tender but it seems to have gotten bad reviews lately. Instead I chose this RevainBasics and as I said I am happy with the purchase.

This thing works fine as long as you don't have a very low battery. When you discharged 12V to 7V, it will accept fully charged 6V and stop charging. I revived my 40 year old SEARS charger (made in USA) and charged the battery to the point where I could start the car and buy a new battery. There should be a switch to allow the charger to deliver 14V to the 12V battery regardless of the voltage sensed, and an internal current limiter to ensure it or the battery does not overheat.

The terminals on Revainbasics are not fully covered in plastic, so touching both terminals could electrocute you.
