Does not work with MacBook Pro Late 2016/2017

I bought this because reviews showed good results with late 2017/2017 MacBook Pro laptops. I received and hooked it up today. It's disappointing that it's listed as USB 3.1. It's not like this. According to the system profiler, it is a USB 3.0 device. That being said, as long as the ethernet port worked, I was willing to forgive it. Unfortunately I can't get speeds over 100Mbps. I have another device with the same wired connection test at over 470Mbps. I tested this because my current internet…

Not enough power for network, keyboard and wireless headset adapter

My new MBP model with USB-C ports did not recognize the network interface immediately when I plugged it in, in fact it only recognized the new network interface after disconnecting and reconnecting several times. My Mac USB keyboard shows as unidentified every time I plug in the hub and it even prompts me to press the key to the right of the left shift key immediately and still doesn't recognize it. Purchased for Nintendo Switch, not all functions work.

The first thing I did was connect the GameCube controller adapter to the Switch when it wasn't connected. It was successful, works fine with the screen. Second, I used it to connect the ethernet to the switch, both when undocking and when docking. Both were unsuccessful. Third, I hooked up an external battery in hopes that I could charge the Switch and use the GameCube controllers at the same time.
