Very handy for body work and trim

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because on the 2015 GMC 2500 it only mounts right on the side, I wish it came in a 45- Degree angles to bumper back so you don't have to go around the back corner to get to the tailgate but it's great and so easy to raise and lower.

Took a while. good for spare parts

Not as easy to install as previous applications. A little tricky and more tools than you would expect. The step is retrieved from the side of the bed, not from the back. I'd rather step back. High quality materials with no plastic stand but works well. It's still a great accessory that makes the truck look better.

I couldn't get the crowbar on my truck to work.

When trying to install I ran into an issue where I couldn't install screws on my truck that I had taken out of the frame and put back into the bracket. I couldn't return the wrench to these bolts to tighten them so I didn't get it on the truck and would like to return it because I can't see a way to get it in there, thanks

Great move, tricky setup.

Great move, but installing it on my Silverado 2500 is more difficult than I expected. It says on the box that assembly is done with the help of screws, the instructions recommend professional assembly. I started the installation myself, but found that once I pulled the bolts out of the frame to hang the step, I didn't have room to use my standard tools to re-bolt. I took it to my local auto parts store and it took a pro under 20 minutes to install it using their tools (a nut/screwdriver with a…

It is excellent. - Replacement parts

AMP Research seems to make a decent product. I haven't had any issues with clearance, for example tread friction seems to work well in the stowed position. I have a 6 inch lifter on a 2018 2500hd so this step comes in very handy when getting in and out. While I understand some of the complaints others have about crossing feet and legs, for me, my age and size, it's ok so far and I would buy it again. The instructions aren't very good but it's understandable and I had to drill a hole to get the…

Poor fit touches underside of bumper or truck

I bought this step because they have Ford trucks in use and they are great. I messed up my installation instructions a bit on how to place some brackets. Anyway, they finally installed it and are unhappy with how it stays down in the bumper. The one on the trucks at work is an inch or two below the bumper for easy access. To pull it out, you have to grab it with both hands. comes out the side, not the back. The step quality is normal, there is no landing. The company emailed multiple responses…
