Wrong description. Light does not go through a solid object and will not penetrate it.

what a stupid purchase. stop reading this This area can only show details if your sample or what you want to see is transparent. Like a honey bee's paw. But if you try to see a detail, like something solid like a leaf, then you won't see anything because the light is coming from below the object, not from above. Light cannot penetrate a solid object and you will be completely disappointed. I was trying to see a leaf from my garden that had some bugs on it and this scope didn't help at allโ€ฆ

The item arrived incomplete but I was asked to search the internet for the missing parts.

Ordered this microscope for my son's 13th birthday. This year he's really interested in science and is at an age where he's too old for children's toys but too young for adult gifts. Unfortunately, that's where the fun ends. When unpacking, only the microscope was in the box. The product photo does not show a power cord or other accessories. I contacted Revain for the parts needed to make this thing work. I was asked to contact AmScope to see if they could help. I contacted AmScope and was told

Great buy You will be very happy with this microscope as it is a very good option especially for the price. The ideal user would be an infrequent user who doesn't need a very good internal cell inspection. I personally use this microscope to analyze swine semen samples. I am fully able to accurately assess cell motility and morphology. How it can help you This microscope allows you to take a close look at cells at the molecular level.
