Have been using it almost daily for 2 1/2 years with no problems. Yesterday, without warning and after 2 minutes of driving, it melted and filled the car with smoke and the smell of burnt plastic. It didn't work before - I would have rated it 5 stars. If you have any of these - keep an eye out if it's possible and happened.

Charges the phone but causes it to restart almost every time I unplug it, especially if I turn off the car before turning it off. Sometimes it doesn't even need to be unplugged before resetting, it just happens randomly. Previously, there was no such problem with a car charger. I thought it might be the cable until my friend plugged in his cable and restarted his phone as well. I already threw away the packaging so I don't think I can return it. waste of money.

Bought this charger in November. I use it at work for a few hours three days a week. Stopped loading last night. Tried it with a different cable and with a different cigarette lighter, still doesn't work. I later plugged it back in and it charged for a while. As you can see from the picture, it got hot. I never felt like it was hot. I don't know when the hull damage happened. How can we solve this broken charger problem? Many Thanks. brian

Used it once yesterday morning to charge my phone on the way to work. It worked great and charged it to less than half full charge very quickly. ***UPDATE*** I was able to fix the cigarette lighter connector by replacing the fuse in the fuse box. Anker also contacted me and sent me a free updated replacement for the defective part I had left over. They also took the serial number from me and said they track defective parts of their product.
